Here’s an offering the local team at Iveco/International Trucks would probably love to get into Aussie dealerships – the International CV Series.
A new addition to the North American line-up for International, the heavy-duty pick-up is based on the popular Chevy Silverado.
U.S.-sourced pick-up trucks are starting to gain some real popularity in Australia, but there’s no word yet on the ‘Inter’ offering coming our way (we’ll keep you updated should any info come to hand though).
Never the less, a component familiar to many in the Aussie truck market has just been confirmed for the International CV Series – the Allison 1000 Series and 2000 Series transmission.
The 6-speed Allison Automatics are paired exclusively with the International 350hp/950Nm 6.6 litre turbo-diesel engine and offer a PTO option.
Rohan Barua, vice president, North America OEM sales at Allison Transmission, says it’s great to partner with International on the new offering.
“The exceptionally durable and high-performing Allison 1000/2000 Series transmissions are ideally suited to partner with the International CV Series’ commercial-grade power, reliability and practicality.”
