They might be the top-selling truck brand in Australia, however new Marketing and Customer Experience head at Isuzu believes there is room for improvement.
John Walker (pictured above) has this afternoon been confirmed as the new Head of Marketing and Customer Experience at Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL).
After spending the past two years as the truck brand’s Digital Marketing Manager, he now says he’s looking forward to taking on the added responsibilities.
“I’m really excited about the opportunities ahead, especially to re-evaluate our customers’ key requirements and how they engage with us, what with the changing nature of the Australian freight task.
“With regard to customer engagement and touchpoint processes, the automotive and transport industry is currently behind other industries’ best practice standards.
“When you consider industries like banking and contemporary retail, customers not only demand greater levels of personalisation, but also timely and meaningful communication from their favourite brands.”
And he says better customer service will be a focus.
“Over the last two years, we’ve been focused on evolving our digital customer engagement.
“This includes website, social media interaction, and other customer-focused projects.
“Moving forward we’ll continue to develop and expand these customer experience programs across the business to ensure best practice.”
John Walkers elevation comes just days after Isuzu appointed Tony Kerr as National Fleet Sales Manager.
