Volvo FE goes electric from 2019

Second all-electric Volvo Truck revealed

Just weeks after the Volvo FL Electric was revealed, Volvo has taken the covers off an electric-drive version of the FE Series.

Volvo telling us the Volvo FE Electric was designed for heavier city distribution and refuse transport operations with gross weights of up to 27 tonnes.

Sales will commence in Europe in 2019 and at this stage there’s no firm date for any Australian arrival.

Volvo FE Electric Key Data:

  • Electric Drive Range – Up to 200 kilometres
  • Driveline – Two electric motors with 370kW max power/850Nm max torque
  • Charging – AC and DC
  • Charging time – 1.5 hours high power and 10 hrs low power
  • Cab styles will include low entry variant
