ATA backs National Road Safety Week

Trucking association a principal partner of safety initiative

The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has confirmed it had signed on to be a principal partner of the upcoming Yellow Ribbon National Road Safety Week initiative.

Commencing next Monday (the 30th of April), the campaign has been organised by Safer Australian Roads and Highways (or SARAH).

SARAH President, Peter Frazer says it’s great to see a respected industry body like the ATA get behind National Road Safety Week.

While ATA CEO Ben Maguire says his organisation will do it all can to get better road safety outcomes.

“We see our alignment with both SARAH and National Road Safety Week as an excellent basis for further promoting the safety “Drive So Others Survive!” safety message.

“We will be working together to directly support the development of a positive road safety culture, both in the promotion of safety within the industry and importantly, in the way the general public interact with heavy vehicles.”

The ATA joins the Australian Automobile Association (AAA), Altus Traffic Australia, Ennis-Flint Australia and Road Safety Education as Principal Partners of Yellow Ribbon National Road Safety Week.
