In July it will be 90 years since the founding of the business that eventually went on to be DAF Trucks.
The milestone anniversary will be marked with a special event being planned in the UK.
Hubert van Doorne founded the company in 1928, the manufacturing and repair business concentrated initially on cabinets, ladders, window frames, and trailers.
After World War Two the business was renamed Van Doorne’s Automobile Factory (DAF) and started building cars and trucks.
In 1991 the business dropped the car production (after building 1.3 million units) to concentrate solely on trucks.
