Driveline technologies, including electric power-trains, telematics, driver assist and related safety systems etc. are all making it an interesting time to be covering heavy vehicles.

This one is yet to reach Australia, though hopefully we will see it soon, it’s called Express WriteUp.
The app allows service advisors to easily access the vehicles repair history, including warranty repair coverage and fault code information, via Bluetooth, or by scanning the VIN or QR code.
Now Daimler Trucks North America has made some further enhancements to the app, which they say should help improve efficiency around servicing/repairs.
Express WriteUp now allows truck drivers to complete digital interview forms that provide feedback about the trucks performance and note any issues that might require attention.
The changes also bring to the app a photo upload function that allows drivers to upload photographs of any issues that can be included in the requisition order at the service department.
