The recent unveiling of the first ever truck from electric vehicle manufacturer, Tesla, caused quite a stir.
One of the rare truck product stories that got coverage across the mainstream media, Tesla now has to follow through and get the truck into production and on the roads.
We are still awaiting confirmation that the truck will actually make it to Australia, if it does, where will you buy it from?
All of those questions are still to be answered.
In the meantime, at least we now have some sort of idea what it might cost.
U.S. pricing for the Tesla Truck has just been revealed with the Elon Musk-led business confirming a starting price of just under $200,000 AUD ($150,000 USD).
That sum will get operators the base model with a 300-mile range (482km), while the 500-mile version (800km) version will kick off from $237,000 ($180,000 USD).
The company is now accepting reservations for the vehicle and the first customer deliveries are expected to start in 2019.
We will keep you updated as further details on the new Tesla Truck come to hand in our Tesla News section.
