It’s one of the most legendary vehicles on the roads with a history that dates back decades, but that doesn’t stop the Iveco ACCO from being an adaptable workhorse.
We’re used to seeing ACCO’s with an agitator or waste compactor bolted on the back, however K&S Gases saw potential in the Aussie-built Iveco as a gas cylinder delivery truck.
Hauling medical gases in and around Melbourne and beyond, the K&S Gases ACCO is fitted with a unique curtain-side body, incorporating rear-mounted Moffett forklift and side-lifter.
The company telling us it was the ACCO’s low tare weight that first attracted them to the Iveco product.
Even with the forklift, the ACCO offers over 10.7t of payload.
Being able to carry the forklift along for the ride is a huge advantage for the operation as many hospitals don’t have one on hand.
While being able to handle the unloading independently, the K&S Gases drivers don’t disrupt customer workers at the delivery point.
