Large number of UD Trucks sold in Australia recalled over airbag issue…
The massive Takata Global Airbag Recalls will affect owners of another vehicle brand with news some UD Trucks will be required back at a dealership to have the issue attended to.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is overseeing the UD Trucks recall.
Affected trucks sold in Australia include the UD Quon and Condor models and all were manufactured between the 1st of August 2011 and the 29th of April 2016.
The recall notice advises that possible exposure to air and moisture may cause the driver’s airbag to inflate abnormally.
What are the hazards?
In the event of an accident, the airbag may deploy with a force different to that specified by the manufacturer, posing an injury risk to the vehicle occupants.
