Euro 6 compliant Iveco Eurocargo now in Australia

Iveco Eurocargo gets new tech to meet Euro 6…

It’s already one of the most acclaimed trucks to arrive in Australia, now the Iveco Eurocargo also offers operators the knowledge that it’s one of the cleanest as well.

Iveco Australia has just confirmed the Iveco Eurocargo now boasts a Euro 6 rating.

The enhanced environmental performance comes by way of Iveco’s HI-SCR technology that manages to not only significantly reduce emissions, particularly Nitrogen Oxide, but also helps improve fuel economy by about 4%.

The Iveco HI-SCR system also helps engine braking by up to 30% and automatically regenerates itself – meaning the driver doesn’t need to intervene at all in the process.

The 2016 Truck of the Year also benefits from some styling tweaks that also help improve fuel efficiency.

And adding to the Iveco Eurocargo’s safety credentials, the updated models also benefit from Anti-Slip Regulator (ASR), Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and an Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS).

While Adaptive Cruise Control and a Lane Departure Warning System are available as options.

2017 Iveco Eurocargo Key Data:

  • Powered by 6.7 litre Tector 7 engine with 250hp/850Nm and 280hp/1,000Nm outputs

Marco Quaranta is Iveco’s local product manager, he tells us the updated Eurocargo is the ideal solution for many different applications.

“With clear back of cab options and up to 14 pallets of payload (day cab), Iveco is targeting customer across a range of applications from general freight and refrigerated, to tilt tray and crane truck work.”
